Clark Atlanta University has been named Tom Joyner’s October School of the Month (SOTM), which means that throughout October, the Tom Joyner Morning Show – aired in 115 markets around the country, reaching nearly eight million listeners every week day – will promote CAU and award scholarships to deserving students. The SOTM campaign is a great opportunity for the entire community to come together as champions for increasing access to higher education.

CAU corporate friends, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends can help the University meet a goal of $250,000 for the SOTM campaign by making a contribution to Clark Atlanta University. When sponsoring companies, campus departments, alumni chapters or affinity groups (i.e., Greek organizations, social groups, etc.) partner to raise at least $50,000, we have an opportunity for a match of .50 cents for each dollar ($25,000).

As added incentive, gifts made to the Tom Joyner SOTM campaign and received in our office before Dec. 31, 2009, can count toward the 2009-2010 Annual Giving Program. While the SOTM can count toward the Annual Giving Program, those gifts are separate and distinct from any other support you may provide to Clark Atlanta University. These funds will be for undesignated scholarships in conjunction with the Tom Joyner Foundation. 2009 Annual Fund Phone-a-thon - anticipate student-led phone-a-thon designed to help reconnect alumni, parents and friends of the University. Gifts received before December 31, 2009, on behalf of the School of the Month campaign, will go towards the 2009-2010 Annual Giving Program.
